whats that?

fluxbox is what is called a “windowmanager”. a windowmanager is the unspectacular program to handle how the windows on your system are managed. so, everytime you move or resize a window … well, thats a windowmanager

so what?

it just rox. coz i am working almost 100% of my time under unix-a-like operatingsystems i am always using fluxbox wherever i can. i am doing that since years and i doubt it will change so soon :)

what i am doing

in early summer 2003 i started using the 0.9er series of fluxbox again (after some months of trying to find an other wm which could be used). around that time i also joined the #fluxbox – channel on freenode.org. i shared a lot of my knowledge about fluxbox with the users there and was helping newbies with the setup and the handling.

soon i began to find those small bugs which itch your neck. and since i have some programming skills i was able to fix them. over time i sent more and bigger modifications to henrik. in autumn 2004 henrik couldnt stand it anymore to always include my modifications and since then i am a member of the developer-team of fluxbox.

which parts do i modify

i am almost doing everything atm, but mostly i am trying to hunt down evil bugs.
if you want to check everything i did then look for yourself into the changelog .

so where can you get it?

well, there is this wonderful website called www.fluxbox.org and this other nice website called www.fluxmod.dk which should cover almost everything that you ever need to know about fluxbox
